How To Measure Your Wrist

  • Step 1: Use a soft measuring tape, or a strip of paper you can mark and measure afterwards.
  • Step 2: Wrap it around your wrist just behind the wrist bone, where a watch normally sits.
  • Step 3: Note the length in centimetres. If you are between sizes, pick the larger range for a roomier fit.
  • Step 4: Look at lug-to-lug length as well as case diameter when you try watches on.
Frequently Asked Questions

Watch Size Guide: FAQs

What size watch should I buy?expand_more
Measure your wrist, use the tool above for a starting range, then try watches on. Case diameter is only part of the picture, because lug length and thickness change how a watch sits.
How do I measure my wrist?expand_more
Wrap a soft tape or a strip of paper around the wrist bone where the watch sits, mark where it meets, and measure the length. Wrist size in cm is the number the tool uses.
What is lug-to-lug?expand_more
It is the distance from the tip of the top lugs to the tip of the bottom lugs. If it is longer than your wrist is wide, the watch can overhang. It often matters more than the case diameter.
Is a bigger watch better?expand_more
No. A watch looks best when the case sits within the width of your wrist. A smaller wrist usually suits a smaller case, and a very small case can look lost on a large wrist.
