Warranty terms are set by each brand. Here is how watch warranties work, what to keep, and what to do if something goes wrong.

How Watch Warranties Work
Every brand sets its own warranty terms. We cannot list one set of terms for all watches, so use this page as a guide and always read the warranty card that comes with your watch.
When you buy, ask the store team to explain the warranty for that brand, and keep your invoice and card together.
Documents
Keep These Together
- Invoice: Proof of purchase and the date the warranty starts.
- Warranty card: Check it is filled in correctly and matches your watch.
- Box and papers: Useful when you claim, service or sell the watch.
Care
Good To Know
- Water: Do not press buttons or turn the crown under water, and check the water-resistance rating before swimming.
- Servicing: A mechanical watch should be serviced every few years. Quartz watches need battery changes.
- Repairs: Ask before anyone opens your watch, as it can affect the warranty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Watch Warranty: FAQs
How long is the warranty on a watch?expand_more
Warranty length and terms are set by each brand and can differ by model. Please ask the store team and read the warranty card that comes with your watch.
What does a watch warranty usually cover?expand_more
Most cover manufacturing defects for a set period. They commonly do not cover accidents, misuse, water damage outside the rating, or wear on straps and glass. Read your card for exact terms.
Do I need to register my watch?expand_more
Some brands ask you to register or have the card stamped. Check your warranty card, and ask the store team if you are not sure.
What if my watch has a problem under warranty?expand_more
Bring the watch, the invoice and the warranty card to a store or call us. Our warranty claims page explains the steps.
Does opening a watch or using an unknown repairer affect the warranty?expand_more
It can. Many brands void the warranty if the watch has been opened or repaired outside their approved channel. Ask before any work is done.
