How Often to Change a Watch Battery
By World of Watches •

Most quartz watch batteries last about two to three years, and less in watches with chronographs, lights or other extra functions. Change the battery when the watch slows, stops or the seconds hand starts jumping in larger steps.
Signs The Battery Is Low
- Stopped: The watch will not run.
- Slow: It loses time.
- Jumping seconds: Some watches jump in two- or four-second steps.
- Dim display: On digital watches.
Do Not Leave A Dead Battery
A flat battery can leak and damage the movement. Change it soon after it stops.
Reseal The Case
Opening the case affects water resistance. Ask us to check the seals when the battery is changed.
